The big brother of the AR-15, the AR-10 is a scaled-up version of this reliable platform that’s capable of firing longer cartridges. It was originally built around the 7.62×51 NATO round, the military cousin of the .308 Winchester. Today, the.308 Win remains one of the most popular chamberings for an AR-10.

However, the modularity of the AR platform makes it perfect for users who want to explore different calibers. Another sought-after chambering for AR-10 barrels is the 6.5 Creedmoor, a high-ballistic coefficient, low-recoil round popular with long-range shooters.

Our proprietary nickel boron formula, NiB-X®, is perfectly engineered for firearm parts. We apply this naturally hard, slick substance to barrel extensions to ensure smooth feeding, locking and unlocking round after round. 

We typically treat the barrels themselves with Nitromet™, a salt bath nitride coating harder than hard chrome. Along with protecting against corrosion, this finish equips an AR barrel to better withstand the heat and pressure exposures that come with putting thousands of rounds downrange.
